Application:

Our Sapele wood is not only used extensively throughout the construction industry but also in industries such as Vehicle building, Upholstery, Furniture making packaging and many more. When suitably protected, it may be used both internally and externally; It will remain flat and stable throughout its lifetime.

I would always recommend applying oil to all of our hardwoods, from experience I found the best product is Osmo Oil.

Sapele wood is part of the Mahogany family, and also possess a number of damage resistant qualities. It has long lasting properties and provides a high quality finish to your job or project.

Sapele is an extremely hard and durable timber to use; and is well suited to a variety of applications both internally and externally. Especially external projects where when treated with the correct oil it finishes to a very high standard.

Our Hardwood Timber Cill is manufactured from quality Sapele and can be used in many different application, primarily used as a step to your external door, whether this is a front, back or garage it is perfect for this use and many others.

We supply our Cill as unfinished meaning you can use what every you like to finish it, whether this be Paint, Stain, Varnish, Wax or Oil, we recommend using a good quality product, even though this is a durable hardwearing and tough material, it performs a whole lot better when treated and sealed.

Please bare in mind the picture is not a stock we have used from a database, the photo is the actual product we are selling but as you are aware it is natural a product that will vary from piece to piece in colour, so please do not be alarmed if what you receive is a slightly different shade or grain.

A very small amount of prep may be necessary including light sand or a small amount of filling before applying your desired finish, this is not normally the case as all is check for quality, however on the rare occasion as it is a natural product.
